God's perfect timing!

Aloha...Greetings from AngieMangie! :)
Been a busy witsy week..PlayED HARD, workED HARDer:)
Interesting case in ward? A kid with nephrotic syndrome... typical signs and symptoms..!! PLUS, a 3 hours long ward rounds with Dr Prabu..he is really enthu at teaching! Why the ward rounds took so long? it's not because of the many patients in the ward, it's because of his enthusiasm in teaching us....with his statistics...Goodie ward round:D
cutie little chick given by one the patients who came during my GP day. After seeing the dr, she took this out from her bag and gave to us..She knitted this herself and put a choc in it and spread her l.o.v.e around:) Awww....
Hall catered food has started, but since we always come back LATE, Pat, our dear chef packed our dinner into microwavable Tupperware so that we could heat the food up when we come back..awww...felt so loved now:)

How i met this gurl, Ee May during Social Night was..amazing! She is best friend to Wennie. And before i came back from Summer, Wennie emailed me bout her dy.All i know is that a gurl named EeMay is coming. no contacts, no emails! But due to all the busy schedule, i didnt manage to contact her and invite her for this event. It was such a beautiful meet up only by God's arrangement that we met in Social Night. and guess how she knew about this event? it's when she was on her way to buy potatoes in the shop and bumped into some Malaysians speaking with some Malaysian slang! She approached them and..they invited her along! isnt' that random!?

PLUS another gurl named Sarah, Ivy's fren. That very morning, Ivy just msged me about her who just arrived Manchester and asked me to give her a call, but she has not got her contact as yet! So i cant contact her anyway. BUT guess wat, she TURNED UP as well. I was randomly introducing myself to the freshers and she popped up and asked whether i'm ANGELENE TEO! take note, not many ppl kno my surname esp a stranger!? i was shocked! and it's surely definitely not by coincidence how i met them..it's only God could do such miracle!
Praise the Lord for such arrangements!
I'm liking to see all His work so REAL..

SF-ers..post event:) We soar on eagles wings! Not growing weary..to serve the community:)

Happy EID

Selamat Hari Raya...to all my fellow Muslim friends:)

Hope all of you had a great celebration with authentic Malaysian feast..rendang, chicken curry, nasi lemak...nyum!

Thanks to Min, we were soo blessed by his cookin skills..GOOD food to fill our crave for Malaysian food after exactly 1 month back in Manchester! He invited us to his apartment and prepared really awesome food for us. Felt at home while we savoured every bite of our meal...wahhh...*salivate kao kao*:) SEeeee it urself.......
the whole table was filled with FOOOOOD! Rendang, roast chicken, fish curry, ketupat, roast potatoes, sambal ikan bilis..
simple yet superb nasi lemak:)
tadaaa~ *i cook NONE of the below:P*
the group of us!
See how contented my sis' face is! Even ate with hands wei..
we then played the new board game called 'Articulate'. Really fun n exciting! Smth like taboo but more interesting wth different categories. TQ Min who fed-Ex it from Amazon..muakkaakak..we had great fun on Eid:)

but not the aftermath. When i came back, main road was blocked, so Steph n I had to get off the bus slightly earlier and walked home. It was really traumatizing coz my hall is just next to Rusholme, most Muslims stay here, so they're having party on the street, dancing, screaming and blasting songs from their cars...i sped up n when i reached home, my warden was there and i just hugged her and cried! "It was indeed a horrible night", she whispered to my ear. Felt so much better after hugging her:) Moral of the story..DUN STAY OUT till so late next time, esp during Eid... phew.
that's my Eid..

It has been a busy busy week. Was on evening shift on one of the weekdays and work on Saturday as well. But both shifts were productive and fruitful because the doctors we were attached to are really keen in teaching us. So learnt quite a bit from them:)
so this was our dinner/supper after night shift..porridge, baked fish fillet and vege:)

We have a guest from Malaysia:) Eugene's sista, Ee Von! So we brought her to the Korean Restaurant in Fairfield. Really love the dinner, guess it's because it's been quite some time since we last visited this place. Their Korean food is really authentic with reasonable price:)
Ee Von and LySteph n m3
You could see Ly and me were sooo tired. We just finished our GP day, and this was the day that we had to wake up 5.30am to get to that place called Glossop. But this week community was great! Our Gp brought us to GP training day at Tameside Hospital. He paid for our lunch! PLUS, he sneaked pens from the drug company booths for us..so cute lar! He is just like a dad who is looking after his 2 Chinese daughter and proudly intro us to his fellow GP frens:) PLUS, we knew he is super money-minded, but willingly he sacrificed the talk about GP finance management, and brought us to Child protection talk as he knew we were doing such topic in our PBL! And he also made sure we got the handouts given during the talk..Muakakakak..he was quite stern with us previously( did i tell you that he wont allow us to go home after his surgery which ends at 11am, but make sure we stayed till 5pm, and sits in the kitchen to do our revision?! PLUS we have to complete some BMJ modules online and print out the certificate saying we have passed that topic?! He will even purposely walk in the kitchen and advise us on how to study!!) He just need to make sure we study and learn! Really good i must say, but by the time we reached home, we both will be exhausted beyond words:)
but now...we really like him..kaipak(stepdad)!

Came back on Sat evening from Bury and met up with Shahira @ Red Chilli:)
we celebrated her belated 21st birthday. Poor gurl never had a surprise party, and glad we managed to give her great one:)

Happy biggie day darling!

it's indeed a joy when somebody is happy with wat u've done:)

4 of us:) <3

Okay, now u can scold me for being too clumsy...i dunno how and why!
i was just stepping up the stairs and i tripped and the next second, i'm on the floor with this bruise. I thought was just a superficial bruise but too bad, i didnt look after it properly and now pus is oozing out! Sore it is!it's not as fresh as u can see it here..it's now covered by a yellowish hard layer:P but Doctor said my body is doing real well in fighting the infection, so no worries just apply E45( the magic cream that works well for everybody..me love! Highly recommended)
ahhh..i dun wan scar la on my hand..it's my dominant hand some more, felt so handicapped when my right hand is not working well..sigh:'(
just pray it will heal ASAP!

Manchester is crowded with students now..the noise is back! Freshers' Week is here.
Had a prayer walk with Pastor Kim this afternoon along the university and the hospital. Really pray that God will touch lives here, open their hearts and lead them not into temptations but towards the path God has instored for them. May God be part of their lives and they will lean on Him for strength, for comfort and joy....amen

updaticuS:)

It's been a while since i last updated. So sorry for this delay momsy!

This showed how busy i am:P apart from the work in hospital, the journey we travelled definitely draining us to the max! The most unfortunate thing that happened was last Friday, as the bus drivers went on STRIKE because they couldnt reach a pay deal agreement! And we had to rush train station to take the tram to Fairfield instead which cost us 5 pounds! WHY such things happened?! Why we have to be the victims of this!
Sigh...it's already the 3rd week and we're still complaining again and again about this matter. Lord, help us to understand the reason You put us through all these sufferings, and please teach us to give thanks and count our blessings:)

*side note: today's devotion was on Romans 5:2-3= and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings , because we know that suffering produces perseverance.* Ly and my prayer every morning, that is to let God take hold of our lives, and open our eyes to see what great plan God has in stored for us everyday. To be grateful, to be contented, to look at the positive side and surrender despite all the hassle we're going through. Really need to rest in Him and rely NOT on our own strength:)

Aside from our daily hospital ward rounds and clinics in the Peads wards, we got to attend a Family Planning clinic during our GP day, which was quite productive:)
Other than that, was on night last Tuesday, but the ward was rather quiet, so didnt get to see much. Should i pray that more kids to be admitted in the hospital so i could see more interesting cases, or should i pray all the children to be fit and healthy....sigh, dilemma:( This was one of our dinner from the canteen in the hospital. Unfortunately, they only had vege pasta. We didnt know the canteen dun sell proper meals for dinner, this pasta was leftover from lunch time:(And the box of pepper and carrot, i prepared it myself since i need loads of vege! Since then, Ly and me decided to bring some stuff over so we could cook better and nutritious food:P Save money as well! MomsyS, proud of us ya?!

And this weekend was a hectic one. We had to move into our permanent room within ONE day! Due to some miscommunication, we were asked to evacuate from our en suite(temporary room) IMMEDIATELY! gosh...so much to move, so little time given:( but WE the SUPERWOMEN managed to move everything on time! Phew...backache, tired sial!
my room with soOo many boxes! b4 unpacking:(tadaaa...in ONE afternoon, my messy room turned so pwetty:)the mountain height books brought over from Malaysia! Big relief now..i'm kinda settled finally! But i do miss the en suite i stayed previously. Should have taken a pic for you guys to see, how Ly and me squeezed in that room, we had our own compartment, and we slept on the same bed, shared the same bathroom for 3 weeks! Amazingly, we survived:) And now we're in our respective rooms, she is staying right below me though..she claimed she could hear my phone vibrating yesterday..gosh, it's THAT THIN, so if i shout, she sure can hear! Muakakkak..

2 Saturdays ago, Min, KeeFong and Pei Hua cooked a superdeliciousy meal for us:) It's a POST celebration for Lily's birthday since we didnt have one b4 we balik kampung!
Us with super biggie smile:) *actually all of us were starving, but me being Angie, FORCED them to take this pic..muakkakaka, sorry guys*

and the menu as below. Dun salivate ya!Min's heavenly lamb ribs..gosh, it's really GOOOOOD!KeeFong's sweet and sour fish!Seaweed soup with fishballs
PeiHua's soysauce fishy

and Siti bought us the 'very CRISPY' apple for dessert:)

and the burfday gurl...HAPPY belated BIGGIE DAY(after 1 month exactly)

Stephie BAKED a brownie cake for Ly, but our sista accidentally add in gelatin into the mix and she forgot our fellow Malay friends cant eat gelatin, so the cake was replaced! phew, thank God i managed to get another cake just in time! sorry Ly, had to lie soo many times:P but STEPHIE BAKED! all her hard work to give Ly a surprise went wasted. But no worries daje, we finished the cake after 1 week. Muakakkak..our breakfast!

Aunt Winnie, this pic is for you. Just want to show you that Lily is eating really well! We cooked quite healthily..carbs, LOADS of vege and protein:) So no worries k, she is well taken care of!

clockwise: baked fish and chips, noodle with marmite chicken and broc, noodle with cod fish and cabbage, pork chop and Chinese leaf:)

my personal dietitian(Ly) spotted this when we were shopping for our groceries. It's ONLY 87calories! LOW FAT, but same taste! Guess wat, coz they used skimmed milk:) really good, so those weight watchers, look out for this and give yourself a treat k. If my dietitian says can eat, means BOLEH MAKAN! Go ahead and enjoy!*comes with strawberry n mint flavours*

Not to forget, our annual IMU-Manchester, Juniors welcoming party was a great success! 72 people turned up, a huge seniors and juniors gathering @ Red Chilli. Big thanks to the organisers who had put in so much effort! TQ guys! Good job!

Lily and Wilfred- our dearest organisers who have done a tremendous work!
Bro and SistaS:)

As usual, this is how Seniors get to know juniors in IMU. VIVA style! All juniors had to intro themselves in front of all seniors, and being asked tricky questions! Some even had to sing...could see all juniors kinda stressSs..the fear of seniors! But in the end, semua kawan baik...

SupErWoMeN....yes, we shall persevere on! Smile smile..another week just about to begin and let's face it with joy because God is with us. His presence wil build our stamina and in Him we are well looked after:)

wasSup Doc: Tune you anxious heart to patience, walk by faith where sight is dim; loving God, be calm and trustful and leaving everything to Him. take heart peeps!

Happy Birthday to you,

Happy birthday to J-E-S-S-I-C-A
Happy birthday to you
:)

Since u missed my singing the other day, now u imagine me singing it all over again laa...rmb, i cant sing well, so u must imagine it be a bit cacat n out of tune k*_*

Let me recall back how we got closer...form 5 yea?

Think it was during our tuition time when u sat beside me, me being the naughty n annoying one kept disturbing and poking you with my pen though the teacher was teaching in front:P thank God u didnt ignore me but allowed me being mischievous:)
And she being so kind hearted offered me her precious time to teach me piano. It was form 5 and all of us were so busy with our studies, preparing ourselves for SPM. But she took some time out and invited me to her house for FREE piano lessons and her mum even cooked nice meals for me:) despite me being not so talented in music, still she patiently taught me and phew i sailed through grade 8 without letting her down...it's really a big relief coz it was tough tough tough!

And so our friendship grew:) but we dont get to spend time together, afterwards, i went off to Taylor's and she went to INTEC. We maintained this friendship through msn, letters and emails..Long distance friendship?! It works well i must say eventhough she is now in Monash, Aussie and me in UK. Both of us are again separated far far apart, but we share some similarities, we both doing the same course, we both loving the same God:) God is in the centre of our friendship and He will surely let us meet one day:) [so Jess, jangan emo ar]

2006- when Jess taught me how to make trifle for my elective:P

2007- Jess just came bc from Aus, @ my place, vista!

2008- At Jess' garden:)
